AI/ML Engineering Lead

The Future of Marketing Starts Here Entirely is the first open Martech ecosystem to enable Tailored Marketing at Scale. Its mission is to build a whole world of marketing technology, powerfully personalized and finely calibrated, at scale. Entirely lays the foundation for hyper-personalized marketing by connecting and orchestrating existing marketing technologies while preserving and enhancing customers’ current Martech investments. Founded by Marmind, Censhare, Elaine, and Facelift, Entirely today serves more than 2,800 clients across twelve countries, with a team of over 400 professionals. It is more than a product or platform. It is a open ecosystem and a catalyst for marketing that matters.

Your Role: AI/ML Engineering Lead

Entirely is building the first open, AI-powered ecosystem for Tailored Marketing at Scale — enabling enterprise teams to orchestrate campaigns, channels, and content with unprecedented automation, personalization, and efficiency. Headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, we bring together portfolio companies, strategic technology partners, and leading academic institutions to address the complexity and fragmentation of the global marketing technology landscape. Entirely.ai is the dedicated home for AI experiments within Entirely to explore bold ideas, test breakthrough capabilities, and translate emerging research into viable enterprise solutions. Our mission is to co-create a scalable, defensible business model in collaboration with our founding partners, other ecosystem players, and leading universities such as ETH Zurich. From rapid prototypes to production-ready pilots, we turn concepts into solutions that can transform the way enterprise marketing teams operate.

We are looking for an AI/ML Engineering Lead to architect and guide the technical evolution of this initiative. In this role, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team — including LLM experts, ML engineers, and full-stack developers — and work closely with our product, design, and research counterparts. You will own the transition from rapid “vibe coding” prototypes to secure, scalable, enterprise-grade AI systems, ensuring our solutions meet both cutting-edge performance goals and rigorous business requirements. Much like a technical leader in a hyperscale AI organization, you will navigate between research innovation and enterprise delivery — balancing fast experimentation with the discipline of building something robust, maintainable, and production-ready. You will work hands-on with models and pipelines in the early days, but also design the infrastructure, processes, and standards that enable the team to scale impact across the ecosystem.

Location: Zug, CH
Seniority: Senior
Start: As soon as possible

Your Mission

  • Lead and expand a high-caliber engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Co-define the AI/ML tech stack, architecture, and infrastructure in close alignment with the CTO and group-wide enterprise architects.
  • Own the transition from rapid prototyping to a production-grade AI/ML environment, balancing speed with scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and researchers to translate product concepts into AI-driven features that deliver tangible business impact.
  • Prototype and evaluate AI/ML models for NLP, content generation, classification, recommendation, and other relevant marketing use cases.
  • Design and implement robust data pipelines for collection, preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Establish MLOps best practices: experiment tracking, model versioning, CI/CD for ML, automated testing, and monitoring.
  • Ensure AI solutions comply with governance, ethical, and security requirements.
  • Occasionally represent Entirely.ai at conferences, industry meetups, and on our blog, acting as a thought leader in AI/ML engineering.

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related technical field; ability to digest and apply research findings quickly.
  • Proven experience in AI/ML engineering or applied research, with strong foundations in data structures and algorithms.
  • Proven track record in technical leadership, ideally in AI/ML-heavy environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with TypeScript or similar languages.
  • Deep knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers) and model deployment workflows.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of NLP techniques and/or multimodal AI systems; LLM integration and orchestration experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience with MLOps tooling (MLflow, Weights & Biases, or similar) and best practices for enterprise AI delivery.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations, AI ethics, and responsible AI principles.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical complexity into clear strategic decisions.
  • Willing to travel occasionally to our Zug office (e.g. up to 2 days/week) for key workshops and team alignment.
  • Fluent in English.

Working With us Means

You will join a high-ambition, low-ego environment where innovation meets the real-world complexity of enterprise marketing. As part of the DuMont Media Group — with roots tracing back to the 17th century and today calling itself a ‘startup with over 400 years of tradition’ — we combine the speed of a startup with the network and resources of an established group. We are still at the beginning of our journey, which means you will have significant creative leeway to shape what we do and leave a visible impact from day one. This is also an opportunity to work at the forefront of agentic AI, applying it to a domain where the next paradigm shift is already taking shape.

  • Direct collaboration with world-class AI researchers and experienced industry partners.
  • Competitive salary, performance-based incentives.
  • Opportunities for professional growth, with direct access to executive mentors, investor networks, and cutting-edge AI research.
  • Flexible working hours, hybrid work options, and a modern office in Zug, with regular collaboration days in Zurich and remote work possibilities.
  • Team events and game nights — from hiking in the Swiss Alps to table soccer, lunch & learns, and board games.
  • English as our default language, plus snackable (Swiss-)German lessons from local colleagues.
  • A diverse, international, and collaborative culture that values initiative, openness, and delivering tangible results.
  • Optional relocation assistance for internationals.
